As I Am Fast: Dream Big, Be Bold, and Expect More

As we begin this 3-day fast at 6 AM, Thursday, Jan.2, I want you to know this isn’t just about giving something up—it’s about stepping into something greater.

This is your moment to realign your heart, refocus your faith, and believe God for what seems impossible in 2025.

Maybe you’ve been carrying dreams that feel too big, facing challenges that seem too strong, or settling for less because you’re afraid to hope for more.

But let me tell you: God is ready to meet you right where you are and take you to places you never thought possible.

Dream Big (Matthew 19:26 – The focus for day 1 of the Fast)

What’s happening in this passage: Jesus is talking to His disciples after a rich man struggles to follow Him because he loves his wealth too much.

The disciples wonder, “Who can even be saved?” Jesus explains that salvation—and so much more—is only possible with God’s help.

What it means for us today: Some things in life feel too hard or impossible to handle alone. But this verse reminds us that God can do what we can’t.

Whether it’s overcoming challenges, fixing broken things, or chasing dreams, God makes the impossible possible.

Whatever you’re facing, trust Him—He’s got it.

Jesus said, “With God, all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). That “impossible” thing you’ve been thinking about? God can handle it.

Whether it’s a breakthrough in your family, a new direction in your career, or healing in an area that’s been broken for too long—don’t hold back.

Dream big and trust that God has the power to make it happen.

Be Bold (Joshua 1:9 – The focus for day 2 of the Fast)

What’s happening in this passage: God is speaking to Joshua as he steps into leadership after Moses.

Joshua has a huge task ahead—leading the Israelites into the Promised Land—but God reminds him that He will be with him every step of the way.

What it means for us today: Life can feel overwhelming at times, especially when we’re facing big challenges or stepping into the unknown.

This verse reminds us to be brave and trust God. We don’t have to let fear or discouragement stop us because God promises to go with us wherever we are.

Whatever you’re facing, you’re not alone—God’s got you!

When life gets overwhelming, it’s easy to shrink back in fear.

But God’s Word is clear: “Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid, because I am with you” (Joshua 1:9).

You’re not fighting alone. Whatever you’re up against, God’s presence gives you the strength to face it head-on.

So, lift your head, square your shoulders, and take the next step. You’re stronger than you think because He is with you.

Expect More (Ephesians 3:20 – focus for day 3 of the Fast)

What’s happening in this passage: Paul is reminding believers of God’s unlimited power.

He’s encouraging them to trust that God can do far beyond what they could ever dream or expect through His power working in them.

What it means for us today: Sometimes we limit what we think God can do, but this verse reminds us that He’s not bound by our expectations.

God can exceed anything we could hope for or imagine—whether it’s answering prayers, providing for us, or using us for His purposes.

Trust Him to work in ways bigger and better than you could ever plan. He’s able!

It’s easy to feel stuck in what you see, but Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God can do “more than you could ever ask or imagine.”

Think about that—whatever you’ve been asking for, God has something even better in store.

He’s working behind the scenes to open doors, create opportunities, and bring blessings that will blow your mind.

This fast is your time to reset and believe again.

Dream big, stand bold, and expect more because God isn’t finished with you yet.

Whatever 2025 holds, one thing is certain: God’s plans for you are greater than anything you could ever imagine.
